Help with visiting the sick in our area hospitals or homebound.  Send cards.  Make phone calls.

Food Bank

Mt. Calvary maintains a small food bank in the cabinet on the upper deck of the Ministry Center near the entrance on the left side.  There is a container in the Narthex if you would like to donate non-perishable food for the pantry or contact the church.

Food Distribution

Every Second Saturday morning from 9 AM to noon each month, Mt. Calvary runs a food give-away for our community.  Volunteers help staff the distribution and drivers bring food to people who are unable to pick up from the church.

Bring Food or Help Drive

Volunteer to bring food to families when a family member is hospitalized or other time when help is needed.  Help people get to doctor appointments who aren’t able to drive.

Mercy Ministries

No individual in our church, our community or in our world; no child of Christ should be held prisoner of any difficult situation in life. There is hope and there is help out there.  . Matthew 25:35  “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,”  Mt. Calvary’s Mercy Ministry’s sole purpose is to extend love, compassion, and assistance both physically and spiritually to church members, our community and wherever needed. Some programs already in place are the following:

  • Providing transportation for the elderly, sick or injured, for meals and for the food program.
  • Conducting visitations to the sick, injured, elderly and shut-ins.
  • Providing assistance to church, community and global emergencies or disasters.
  • Children’s Christmas Toy drive
  • And more!

Sunday Morning

Help by Ushering, Reading, Greeting, Acolyting,  Nursery and Sunday School.

Altar Guild

Prepare communion and take care of altar area for Sunday and special services.

Trustees

Responsible for taking care of the church property.
