 Philosophy

Our Purpose

The purpose of Mt. Calvary Kids Corner Preschool and Childcare is to provide a Christian environment where every child is nurtured with the love of God, respected for their unique individuality, allowed to learn the value of self-control and grow with self esteem.

Our staff is committed to aiding parents with the growth and development of their child during these formative years.

Our program is Christ-centered.  Mt Calvary Kid's Corner students are given the opportunity to experience intellectual, spiritual, physical, emotional, and social growth.

We Believe

Early childhood education is a significant avenue for Christian outreach in to the community.

Early childhood education is a ministry to the families of young children by providing a parent program designed for support, encouragement and opportunities that enhance the education and developmental processes already present in the home.

The young child is a gift from God (Psalm 127:3) and learns best about God's world through supervised experimentation and exploration.  Therefore, the early childhood program plans developmentaly appropriate activities and values play as an avenue for learning.

Each child is unique and a special child of God and we promote his/her self-esteem and individuality.  We, therefore, subscribe to sequential learning and while learning is encouraged, it should not be hurried.

Early childhood education should provide a warm and loving Christ-centered environment where children can develop to ther fullest potential physically, emotionally, socially, creatively, intellectually and

spiritually.

Early childhood education is a joint ministry that involves the church, the community, the staff, the family, and the child.

Our Philosophy
