| About Us | Mt Calvary Lutheran Church of Lake Arrowhead |
Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We welcome all Lutherans to our church. (In fact, you don't even have to have grown up Lutheran to worship with us). Come join us to see what we are about.

Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church has been sharing the love of Christ with the mountain community for over 50 years! Whether you are old or new to the mountains, or just visiting, you are always welcome to worship and get connected to Jesus. Mt. Calvary was officially organized in 1957. Services met in a variety of locations, including the campfire ring at Arrowhead Lutheran Camp (now Concordia University Conference Center), the village in Lake Arrowhead, and in Twin Peaks, until the church purchased some property from Arrowhead Lutheran Camp and built its sanctuary in 1970 at our current location behind Rim High School. In 1989 we opened our first preschool in Crest Park, and in 1998 we purchased and opened our second Preschool and Childcare in Running Springs. In 2003 we added on to the original parsonage and rededicated it as our Ministry Center with offices and fellowship space. In 2009, we completed our Early Education Center with new classrooms for our Preschool and began Kindergarten classes. We now serve children up to 3rd Grade! Times have changed since the first Lutheran services were held. Primary outreach was to the many people with second homes and vacationers, and the small population which lived year-round. Now, many people call the mountains their home and call Mt. Calvary their church home year-round. We reach out to families with our Preschools, special events such as a Pinewood Derby and Trunk or Treat, and summer day camps for children. We reach out to others with our annual Broadway show and other special events. But more importantly, our members reach out to their friends and neighbors because they want to connect them to the love of Jesus. At Mt. Calvary we want people to connect with God through the Bible and worship and prayer. And so we welcome you! We hope and pray that Mt. Calvary can be your church home. |
